St Margaret’s CE Junior School
Testimonials
Testimonial sent to the Head of School from school partners, Moira and Sally, who have led worship at St Margaret's for 14 years and retired last week, with their last visit to St Margaret's on Tuesday 14th October 2025.
After enjoying 14 years of regularly visiting St Margaret's Junior School to lead Acts of Collective Worship, as we retire, we would like to say a few words regarding your school.
I have had the pleasure of delivering Bible and secular stories whilst Sally has brought another dimension to the stories through Mime. We follow the stories with an appropriate application of the theme being taught. Our aim has been to follow your curriculum themes and support the Christian values you promote so clearly in St Margaret's. We have appreciated your clearly defined structure for delivering key themes in assemblies which we have been able to follow and support. You have regularly consulted us over the years which has helped us in developing and refining our presentations.
We have always received a warm welcome from yourself, your staff and the pupils. We visit many Primary Schools and at St Margaret's we have observed good sitting, good listening and good singing! The children participate enthusiastically when we ask questions and it is very clear the high standard of preparation in class lessons which has preceded our visits.
Christian values are evident throughout the school, not just by the behaviour of staff and pupils, but also by the quality of displays around the school which reinforce Biblical truths. The emphasis on valuing everyone in the school is obvious from the entrance hall where we have observed interactive and imaginative installations, which encourage pupils to engage with.
We appreciate how the theme we have presented in an assembly is followed through by constructive comments from the lead member of staff introducing us to reinforce the lessons to be learned that day. This doesn't happen in all schools we visit!
Finally, thank you again for supporting our ministry and bringing us so much pleasure over the years.
Blessings,
Moira Dickson and Sally Bullock
