Primary Engineer Rail Project 2024
This cross-curricular programme allows pupils to build and test their own rail models while getting to interact with engineering professionals in class.
This year, the children have enjoyed engaging with the project and working alongside their adults from home to finalise their locomotives.
Take a look at what they have achieved below!
KAPLA Club- Miss Salter
Our ‘KAPLA’ Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths club will be taking place on Wednesday evenings from 3.15pm-4pm in the Autumn term.
KAPLA is a simple, wooden building resource which encourages children to develop their collaboration and team work skills. It enables children to invent, experiment and persevere whilst providing them with opportunities to learn key science and engineering concepts intuitively.

Building a Tower Challenge
The children were briefed with building a tower using 100 blocks that could withstand 3 children blowing on it or something balancing on it. Great teamwork from everyone.
Engineering Rail Club - this Spring term!
Join us, as we engage in an exciting STEM project led by Primary Engineer. The 6-week after school club will support practical STEM and give pupils the opportunity to work with engineers in the classroom.
The Primary Engineer® project has a competition element to champion children’s engineering ingenuity and provide a forum to celebrate their engineering skills and achievements.
Pupils will come together to test their vehicles and discuss their work with engineer judges at celebration events and regional finals run and managed by Primary Engineer®
We can't wait to share our completed projects with you!
Gravitrax Club - March 2023
Celebration Event at Birmingham University - June 2022
Five winners selected from our Engineering club were invited to attend a Celebration Event at Birmingham University. The children tested their locomotives and were interviewed by judges. Leah, in Year 4, won best overall and Erin won best design!
