It is important to read daily with your child, decoding words and discussing the content of the text, as this will have the greatest impact on your child's reading and writing progress as well as opening doors for them to be able to access all other areas of learning within the curriculum. You will find some helpful advice in the front of their home-school reading diary. Click on the Year Group Pages provide information about your child's curriculum, the essential knowledge organisers with key vocabulary and key information to help them learn and remember more.    

Homework is set at the end if each week, alternating between phonics/spelling and maths to help you to know what your child has been learning in school and to enable your child to practice at home and consolidate their knowledge.

Dates for your diary

We are providing five sessions for perspective parents to come into school for a short talk and visit the school 'in action'. Each session will be for a maximum of 40 adults and be booked on a first come first served basis. Please phone/email the school to book your place:

Session 2: Tuesday 22nd October 9:15-10:00am

Session 3: Tuesday 5th November 9:15-10:00am

Session 5: Tuesday 19th November 9:15-10:00am

Unfortunately, we cannot offer any other sessions outside of these planned dates.
