We encourage children to investigate and critically evaluate existing products to help with their own designs. This includes thinking about the impact of DT in their daily life. The children are shown how to safely use new tools before investigating  and experimenting how to strengthen structures, join materials, make a mechanism or create a healthy meal  themselves. Children design and create their own or collaborative product, evaluating as they make, adapting and changing the product before producing their final functional piece.
