Mrs Catto is our Science Lead
Children are naturally curious and love to investigate the world around them in a hands-on way. At Briar Hill we provide exciting and purposeful opportunities for children to explore scientific concepts through a range of practical activities. We encourage them to ask their own questions and plan investigations to help them find answers and discover more about forces, materials and the plants and animals in the world in which we live.
With a full programme of extra science events and opportunities our children become confident in their growing identity as 'Super Scientists'.
For a snapshot of science teaching or some fun experiments to try at home - watch these videos and more can be found in the 'learning in action' tab.
