Briar Hill Infant School

Global Group

Our Global Group prioritse looking after our school, our community and our planet with the support of Mrs Catto our Science Lead.

Global Group ensure that lights are switched off, paper is not wasted and find solutions to make our school an eco friendly and 'kind to the planet' place to be, including planting flowers and trees within our school grounds.  Our Global Group encourage children and families to walk and wheel to school, close windows and doors, save energy and find eco-friendly solutions whenever possible.

Global group achieved the 'Green Trees Schools' Gold Award from the Woodland trust in 2023. They also planted trees at the Whitnash Civic Centre with Warwickshire Wildlife Trust with the Mayor.

Queen's Green Canopy: March 2022

We have been fortunate to have trees donated by McDonald's and The Rotary Club as part of the national Queen's Green Canopy project as part of the Platinum Jubilee.
