St Margaret’s CE Junior School is a strong Christian community where all unite and flourish. Our family is guided by God’s teachings of love, courage, hope and service, enabling everyone to thrive as happy and fulfilled individuals. Ignited by God’s Spirit, our children shine as a light in the world.

In 2016 our two schools Federated and I was lucky enough to be appointed as the Executive Headteacher. Since then we have been on an exciting journey aligning our visions and curriculum to ensure that our children have a seamless transition from Briar Hill Infant School to St Margaret’s CE Junior School.

Flourish as a Family

We are fully committed to our vision that ALL of our children can FLOURISH as unique individuals - physically, academically, socially, morally and spiritually.   Our children are supported to understand the part that everyone can play in helping each other to feel valued and respected as members of our school family. We place real importance on relationships, positive connections, support and encouragement.

Love to Learn

We are extremely proud of the curriculum that we have designed for our children. It is designed to inspire, interest and fascinate. We aspire for our children to become independent young people who develop their own interests and are excited by their new discoveries. We carefully build upon prior learning so children can see how all the pieces of the curriculum jigsaw fit together to gain deeper understanding and a sense of joy in those eureka ‘I’ve got it!’ moments.

Make Memories

We open doors for our children through a wide range of experiences, so that they leave our schools with wonderful memories to cherish. We want them to remember the magical and inspirational moments with the hope that they help to shape their future aspirations.

Shine

We provide many opportunities for our children to stand out and shine.  We want all of our children to feel a sense of pride and achievement whether that is for achieving their personal best, for working really hard, for persevering, showing kindness and consideration or for making courageous decisions.
