Briar Hill Infant School
Early Years Foundation Stage
Mrs Poole is our Early Years Lead
We offer a warm welcome to our children and parents from our dedicated team who work in the Early Years Foundation Stage at Briar Hill Infant School.
In our stimulating and creative setting we ensure we harness a real passion for learning through a play-based curriculum. We ignite the children’s imagination and curiosity through exciting learning themes and texts that aim to develop the children’s confidence and independence. The children particularly enjoy being active by exploring, constructing, collaborating and experimenting.
We promote parental involvement, including workshops and information sessions, parent/carer voice in the children's learning journals and regular open ended home learning each week, linked to the children's learning in school to encourage a conversation and have fun with your child, with them being the expert and 'teaching' you all about their clever learning in school. You can also see what the children have been learning by looking on the class pages on this website.
Our aim is for every child to be excited to come into school to do some 'clever learning' and then come home from school happy, after having a full day of learning fun!
