Our Reception 2027-2028 open mornings start promptly at 9:15am in our Briar Hill school hall.  Our main entrance does will be opened to welcome you in at 9:05am once all of our children are in school.  At 9:15am there is a brief welcome from the Headteacher and then half of our visitors will remain in the hall for some information sharing and half will be taken on a guided tour of Briar Hill Infant School in groups of 10. The groups then swap with the session completed no later than 10:30am. 

Some logistical Information

• Please note there is no parking for parents/visitors on the school site at any time, so do allow enough time for your journey, to park and then walk to the school which is at the back/left side of the staff car park.  
• Our School in Action Parent/Carer session run from 9:15-10:30am and are for adults only. This is so we can accommodate the significant number of requests we have for school visits and to ensure all visiting adults are able to hear the information clearly/ask questions as well as ensure our current children are not distracted or feel overwhelmed. 
• We invite a maximum of 40 adults to each session so that there is time to ask questions and hear the information on the guided tour.
• We are unable to offer any visits outside of our 5 planned open mornings, but please do use our website as a 'window' into our wonderful school.

You will need to complete a Microsoft Form which can be accessed HERE with the following information:

• preferred date for your visit
• if you require 1 or 2 adult places
• child's name who requires a reception place for Sept 2027
• child's date of birth
• parent/carer name/s and relationship to the child (mother/father/grandparent etc)
• parent/carer mobile number/s
• parent/carer email address/es
• nursery the child currently attends

The completion of the Microsoft Form is your booking of a place on your chosen date. We will only contact you if there is an issue and we need to offer an alternative.

If your plans change and you are unable to attend then we ask that you please email school, (at least 24hrs before where possible), so that your place/s can be offered to any parents on our waiting list. Thank you and we look forward to welcoming you into our school.
