Online Safety
Using the internet is part of everyday life for most children. They have access to and use the Internet on a regular basis as part of their learning and play at school and at home, using a variety of computer devices including phones, iPads, playstations and xboxes. Although for the most part, the internet is very beneficial to children, we know that there are risks. It is important to remind children of the importance of keeping themselves safe online.
The children have regular Online Safety lessons with a range of activities involving; online communication, learning strategies for effective use of the internet, how to avoid inappropriate content and contact and the implications related to uploaded and downloaded material.
Here are some useful links with more information on how to help you to keep your children safe online:
National Online Safety Resources #WakeUpWednesday
