Makaton Masters
We are a Makaton Friendly and inclusive school and use Makaton signs and actions within our curriculum with all children. Our 'Makaton Masters' attend a lunchtime club to learn new and revise previously taught Makaton signs and then promote them within their class with their peers. During performances we include a song with Makaton signs so children can showcase what they know to an audience.
We have a sign of the week which is taught and used in every class from Reception to Year 2. The signs for the half term are shared with our families through our half termly newsletter and through the children sharing and teaching their families at home.
