St Margaret's Uniform
All children should wear the correct uniform, including black low-heeled school shoes (open toed sandals, boots or trainers are not allowed). Long hair should be tied back and hair accessories (scrunchies/hairbands) should be purple or black. Please keep hair accessories to a minimum (no large bows). Children with shoulder length hair and longer will need to tie their hair back for P.E. lessons. Nail varnish is not permitted. Children are allowed to wear earrings (small studs only) to school. If they do so on days they have PE, they must either bring in plasters, from home, to cover them or take the studs out during the lesson. They are responsible for doing this themselves. Our suggestion is that they do not wear their earrings to school on PE days. Please ensure all uniform is named for ease of return when items are left on the playground/classroom etc.

Skirt or Trousers: Black
Shirt or Blouse: White
School Tie: Purple and Gold stripes
School Sweatshirt or Cardigan: Purple v-neck with school logo
Socks: Black or White Tights: Black

Summer Uniform List
The school newsletter, text or email, informs parents about the date from which the summer uniform may be worn.
Dress: Purple/White Dress (any style suitable for school in gingham material)
Skirt, Trousers or Shorts: Black tailored
Top: Open necked white polo shirt with collar (with/without school logo)
A hat is advisable for the summer months.
A named bag, suitable for carrying reading books etc.
Our Federation Kit and Footwear for PE
On the days the children have PE lessons, they are expected to wear the Federation sports kit in place of school uniform. This cuts down on changing time, ensures personal privacy and allows effective use of active learning time. Please ensure that any kit with the school logo has the correct design.
- white crew-necked T-shirt (with/without logo)
- black zip-up hoody (with/without logo)
- plain black track suit bottoms/shorts/leggings/skorts
- white socks
- black or white sports trainers
- long hair should be tied back with black, white or purple discreet hair ties
- named swimming bag
Kit with the schools’ logos can be bought from the suppliers detailed below or plain (no logo) versions can be bought from supermarkets or other children’s outfitters. Please check out sizing carefully as the age band sizing may come up a bit small on some children. Contact the suppliers for more details. A change of footwear can be brought to school in a named bag when trainers may get muddy during outdoor PE sessions.
