St. Margaret’s C of E Junior School

School Council and Ambassadors

Each class elects two representatives for the School Council at the beginning of the school year. One representative attends meetings for the first half of the school year and the second representative attends meetings during the second half of the year.

Members of the School Council bring suggestions of ways to improve school to the meetings. They are also asked to represent the school at various functions and recently were asked to interview candidates for a teaching position at our school. They do a great job and certainly take the role very seriously.

Visit from our Local MP

Visit from our Local MP 1

On Thursday 8th November, our local MP, Matt Western, visited the school. Our school council representatives had been busy preparing some questions to ask him. Matt Western was very impressed with the questions that the children asked, particularly those about life for children in schools post-Brexit and school budget cuts.
